1. Where does the Women’s Softball Team host their games?
The Women’s Softball Team hosts their games at Eichelberger Field. [See it on a map]
2. Do I have to be a member of Illini Pride to join Ballers?
In order to become a member of the Illinois student cheering section, the Ballers, you must be a member of Illini Pride. You can sign up at one of the various sign up days that take place throughout the year. After joining Illini Pride, you are able to become a member of the Ballers by signing up with one of the Softball Chairs.
3. When does the Illini softball season take place?
The Illini Softball team typically starts playing at the beginning of February, playing in tournaments in Texas, Florida, and California; however, home games are not usually played until the beginning of April. The season lasts through the end of May, when the Big 10 tournament takes place, and into the beginning of June, which is when the NCAA tournament is played.
4. Where do the Ballers sit?
The Ballers can be found sitting in the first few rows right behind home plate. The only requirement is that you bring your energy and are ready to be loud to cheer on your Fighting Illini Women’s Softball Team!
