BLUE CREW NEEDS YOUR OPINION!

Your Blue Crew chairs are in the early stages of planning an women’s basketball roadtrip for the 2008-09 season.  However, for this idea to become a reality, we need you to give us your opinion on whether you would be interested in the trip.  Details are unknown at this point, however the trip would most likely take place on a Sunday in February.

To voice your opinion, you can vote in the poll to the right of this post.  Please vote truthfully so we can get an accurate number of those who would be interested.  If you have any questions, you can contact Tim Ditman at tditman2@illinois.edu.

Big Weekend!

Hey Spike Squad!

Great job against Purdue! We have another big weekend with two games. On Halloween, our ladies take on Michigan and then on Saturday we take on Ohio State. On Friday there will be Trick or Treating from 6-7 and it’s free entry if you wear a costume and we’ll have a best costume contest too. And on Saturday bring your dad and you get in free and we can show them how we spend our valuable time!

2008 Fighting Illini Softball

The 2008 Season is looking to be very exciting and promising for the Women’s Fighting Illini softball team. The team is returning their top 3 homerun hitters from last season- Lana Armstrong, Shanna Diller, and Angelina Mexicano. The freshman class has also been working very hard during fall ball and off season and will be key components to this Illini team. The ladies face an extremely competitive 2008 schedule, facing 8 teams that played in the ‘07 Super Regionals. Although Big 10 season doesnt start until March 30th, they face topnotch competiton in the South Florida Tournament, Lousiville SLuggers Desert Classic, and the Aggie Classic in Texas until then.
