Hey Illini Pride!

There are only two weeks left to join college basketball’s most intimidating student section…the Orange KRUSH! To register for Orange Krush, or to correct and/or add pledges, click here.  You will need your NetID and password to log in to the registration website.

The Registration Website will remain open until 11:59 p.m. on September 15, 2010 - so sign up now!

With all of last year’s starters returning and a nationally-recognized recruiting class, this promises to be an exciting year!  In fact, ESPN Analyst Doug Gottlieb has picked the Illini to win the BIG TEN this year.  Don’t miss out on all the fun, excitement and tradition that is ILLINI BASKETBALL!

Also, there are a couple important changes to the website that you should be aware of:

-DO NOT COLLECT CASH or CHECKS FROM FLAT PLEDGE DONORS. Instead, ask for their name, address, and pledge amount.  The Orange Krush Foundation will send them a bill for their pledge at the end of basketball season.  Let us do the work for you!

-You may no longer order Break and Specialty game tickets through the website. After September 15, we will e-mail a Break and Specialty game ticket order form to all Krush members.  If you are interested in purchasing Break or Specialty game tickets, you must bring this order form AND payment to one of our collection dates (Place and Time: TBA).

Are you enthusiastic? Energetic? A die-hard Illini fan? Looking to get more involved in Illini Pride?

Illini Pride and the Orange Krush are excited to announce the creation of the “Orange Krush Captains,” a small, select group of Orange Krush members that will lead their section’s cheers, develop new cheers, and serve in a leadership role in one of college basketball’s greatest student sections!  The position requires a substantial commitment of time and energy, but it also includes numerous perks: early entry into games, reserved seating in Krush, and a FREE Krush Captains t-shirt!

Any returning member of the Orange Krush is invited to apply! To get an application or to learn more about the position, e-mail Dan Gilpin, President of Orange Krush, at gilpin1@illinois.edu. All applications will be due by 11:59p.m. on September 24, 2010 and interviews will be held September 30-October 3.
